Are you interested in a career working with animals? Or curious about what a day in the life of an animal trainer looks like? This experience will give you a hands-on snapshot into the world of Animal Care and Training across our ENTIRE animal care crew - welcome to ANIMAL ACADEMY!
The program begins at 10:00 AM (arrive at 9:45 AM) and ends at 3:00 PM daily.
Participants will participate in diet preparation and kitchen clean-up, work closely with otters and dolphins during training sessions, visit with the aquatics and animal ambassador teams, and even meet one of our bottlenose dolphins up close!
Participants must be 13 + to participate. Only 1 participant per day. (Call in advance to book more than 1 participant)

- Animal Academy T-Shirt must be worn at all times during the program.

Participants must bring a refillable water bottle and wear comfy clothing and shoes; they may get dirty/wet.
You will be asked to remove all jewelry before your animal encounter. A box will be provided for storage. Mississippi Aquarium not responsible for loss or theft.
*Family and friends of the participant must purchase a general admission ticket to enter the park. Spectator viewing of the Animal Academy participant is available during front-of-house activities such as the Dolphin presentation. Family and friends are not permitted to join during the behind-the-scenes portions of the program.
