The Tide is Changing! Mississippi Aquarium is Opening! Save the Date for August 29, when the Aquarium opens its doors to the public. This date holds much significance for the state of Mississippi, as 15 years ago, Hurricane Katrina transformed the coastline. We once again transform the Coast making Mississippi stronger than ever. Mississippi Aquarium is opening our doors to the public on this monumental day, representing a revitalization of Coastal Mississippi.
Our animals and dedicated staff can't wait to share the Aquatic Wonders of the Gulf and Beyond with you! For the health and safety of all our guests, staff, volunteers, and animals, we have important information to share with you before your visit.
In accordance with the CDC and Harrison County orders, we have implemented policies and procedures to create a safe experience for guests and staff. These procedures include timed arrival tickets, limited touchable objects and other health and safety procedures.
Before we open, there are a few things you need to know:
TIMED-TICKETING: Timed arrival tickets are required prior to visiting us. This will allow us to ensure visitation levels remain safe. We will limit the number of guests allowed to visit each day. Reservations can be secured in 30-minute time slots and guests will only be admitted before their scheduled time when capacity allows. The length of your stay will not be limited.
MEMBERSHIP: Don't want to pick a time? Become a member! Members can come and go as they please.
