The animals at Mississippi Aquarium receive only the finest, restaurant-quality foods, which are freshly prepared for them daily. Every animal at the Aquarium has its own nutritional plan, developed by our veterinary and animal care teams.
Our aquatic animals, including our dolphins and otters, are fed a variety of fish species, all of which are restaurant quality and fit for human consumption.
Our birds and ambassador animals are offered fresh fruit and produce, delivered weekly and prepared daily by our animal care staff. We also feed a variety of dry foods to our birds, reptiles, and ambassador animals.
Several of our species are insectivores or carnivores, and they receive food items, such as insects and rodents, that are appropriate for their individual dietary needs.
