Girl Scouts Love Sea Turtles

The adventure begins with an organized beach cleanup. This is followed by a visit to Mississippi Aquarium which includes: a lesson about sea turtle biology, conservation and research, and complete a sea turtle craft to take home.

Registration includes:
  • Girl Scouts Love Sea Turtles Badge for each Scout
  • Sea turtle craft for Scouts to take home
  • Admission to Mississippi Aquarium
  • Education-led lessons and guided activity stations
  • Access to live stream of Banner feed


  • 10:30-11:30am
    Independent Beach Clean-up at designated locations
  • 11:30pm-1:45pm
    Enjoy Mississippi Aquarium at your leisure
  • 1:45pm-2:00pm
    Arrive and find seating in Changing Tides building
  • 2:00pm-2:30pm
    Presentation on sea turtle diversity, identification, biology and conservation
  • 2:30pm-3:10pm
    Sea turtle activities and station rotations, led by MSAQ’s Education team. Scouts will learn about conservation issues facing sea turtles, their diet, life cycle, anatomy and more!
  • 3:10pm-3:30pm
  • 3:30pm–3:45pm
    Live stream with MSAQ’s Animal Care team, observe Banner’s feed session
  • 3:45pm-4:00pm
    Wrap up, Q&A
  • 4:00pm
