Interpreter I | Seasonal
Interpreters communicate the stories of our natural and cultural resources in zoos, aquariums, and park settings by facilitating opportunities of discovery, and understanding of the natural world. Therefore, interpreters act as the bridge to connect guests to these resources through meaningful, inspiring experiences. At Mississippi Aquarium, the Interpreter I will be responsible for educating guests on the static and live exhibits as well as engaging guests about relevant conservation efforts along the Gulf Coast. Interpreters will use their public speaking skills to conduct various tours, sleepovers, and public presentations, while providing exceptional customer service. Interpreters will interact daily with people of diverse backgrounds and ages. For the successful candidate, this is a great opportunity to educate guests on marine research, conservation, ecology, and natural history at a world-class aquarium!
