Interpreters communicate the stories of our natural and cultural resources in zoos, aquariums, and park settings, facilitation opportunities of discovery, and understanding about the world around us. Therefore, interpreters act as the bridge to connect guests to these resources through meaningful, inspiring experiences. Our mission at the Mississippi Aquarium is to be a premier institution delivering an awe-inspiring entertainment experience that supports animal research and conservation, inspires learning, and instills a passion for the aquatic world. The Interpreter II will enhance the guest experience at the Mississippi Aquarium by teaching about the habitats and animals found in Mississippi, the Gulf Coast, and beyond. Qualified individuals should have extensive experience in public speaking and a high level of comfort in interpreting static and live exhibits as well as presenting presentations, tours, and educational programs. The Interpreter II will interact with guests of all ages and diverse backgrounds as well as work alongside the other members of the Guest Experience and Education Team.
